Summertime!

Best friends for life.

Helping Mom make his smoothie!
A very important role.

Max apparently felt like reverting back to paci baby for an afternoon...

Handsome Mohawk

Very cool baby.

2 mobile babies = this

Check out Max's BIG BOY shoes!!
Too bad he's already mastered taking them off...

Love this baby.
To pieces.

We've been spending a lot our time in our AWESOME splish splash pool!
Sometimes I even join them!

It is a very fun pool

This kid makes THE best faces I've EVER seen ALL of the time.

He's LOVES sitting on boxes or laundry baskets or anything that resembles a chair his size.

This was Gammy's method of keeping him occupied while she made dinner.
He of course managed to cause chaos while in the sink.

Shopping BUDDIES!
Unfortunately Zo was a victim of shopping cart violence. Again.

Laundry Basket BUDDIES!
The easiest way to get them both out of a room at the same time!

Max is such a little man.
1 sippy cup.
2 very thirsty babies.

Dear Auntie Noelle,

This is the reason my mom woke you up so early Hawaii time. She was very excited for some reason... I have no idea why. Of course I can say the word "go!" I am one year old after all!

I believe this will make up for any sleep loss experienced.

Sincerely,
Max

Enjoy this video. There are a lot of little gems in here!
Yes. It has been awhile...

Mr. Max decided to start "really" walking on June 24th, 2011 - the day before his big birthday bash!
Please excuse my borderline inappropriate enthusiasm and excitement...

Since then he has really come a long way and is in my opinion, officially a TODDLER!
He is walking almost everywhere and has now figured out how to stand up in the middle of the room.
It still surprises me every time I glance over to see he walking around.
Eventually I'm sure I'll get used to my baby being so grown up!

For a long time Max would climb the couch and could be found kneeling on top of it looking out the window...
Now that he's older and wiser, he's moved on to standing precariously on top of the cushions.

They just play so well together...

Daddy blowing up the SWEET swimming pool Grandma Rice sent the babies for Easter!
Such a thoughtful gift!

Very refreshing on these hot summer days!

Max got a little distracted by the manly lawn mower and decided to give it a climb.

Love the cup over Max's face.

On June 30th (Max's PLACEMENT day!) I was planning on taking Max in to get his 1 year shots.
However he woke up from his nap with a fever and as we later learned STREP.
Here is my little trooper enjoying his well deserved sucker.

Max celebrated his 2nd 4th of July!
This year was much more exciting for him.
We watched the parade...

which Max LOVED!
The fact that he convinced a cute girl sitting near us to hold him in her lap for almost the entire parade probably helped...

my handsome patriotic boy!

We spent the afternoon playing the the INCREDIBLE splish splash pool
Auntie Noelle and Uncle Chan gave Max and Zo!

It was a very good time!

We ended the day with FIREWORKS!

Coolest babies ever.

Max was completly enthralled by the fireworks.
We started pointing to the little fireworks going off before the show started and telling him to "look."
He caught on almost immediately and started pointing them out to us saying "wook!"
He's adorable.

Thanks to his cousins David and Kenna Max is now a HUGE fan of movie Curious George 2.
A quick thank you video for our Auntie Noelle and Uncle Chan.
Starring MAX and ZOEY!
and
Narrated by Daddy.
